Tags

Settings → Tags manages tenant-scoped labels you can attach to components, journeys, and pages. Tags are a lightweight, cross-cutting way to organize and filter content — group items by campaign, team, theme, or lifecycle stage so they're easy to find later, independent of where they live in the platform.

Tag fields

Each tag has:

  • Name — the label shown wherever the tag appears.

  • Description (optional) — context for your team on when to use it.

  • Color (optional) — a swatch to make the tag scannable in lists.

  • Status — active or inactive; inactive tags stay attached but drop out of pickers.

  • In use count — how many components, journeys, and pages the tag is currently assigned to.

Use New Tag to add one.

How to use

Create tags up front for the dimensions you'll want to filter by, then apply them as you build components, journeys, and pages. Use the in-use count to gauge a tag's reach before changing or retiring it.

Gotchas

  • Deleting a tag in use is guarded. PeakCommerce blocks deletion of a tag that's still assigned and tells you how many items use it; you must confirm explicitly to force-remove it. Removing the tag detaches it from every item — it doesn't delete the items.

  • Renaming a tag updates it everywhere it's applied.
