Managing Journey Categories
Journey categories allow you to group products together in logic collections for your users to see and choose.
From the menu on the left, click on Subscribe and then click Journeys.
From the journeys list, click view next to a journey from the actions button that appears.
Once you are on a journey, you will see the categories section at the top of the page.
Adding a Category
To add a new category:
Click the Add Category button in the top right of the categories section.
Once you've clicked the 'add category' button, the add category page will appear.
Enter the category name, priority, and layout.
Click the add button on the far right.
Editing a Category
Once a category is created, the Name, Priority, and Layout can be changed at a later time. To do this, hover the cursor over a category in the list at the top of a segment. An "Actions" button will appear on the ride-hand side of the row. This button has drop-down options to Edit or Delete a category. Click Edit.
This will pull up the specific category and its 3 components. The Name, Priority, and Layout can be edited. Click Update to save changes.
Similar to editing a category, a category may be deleted by clicking Delete in the "Actions" dropdown. This will prompt an "Are you sure you want to delete this category?" pop-up with options to select Close or Ok. Click Ok.
Category Example
Suppose you have a Netflix type of offering where you have a digital service and DVD's. Customers can choose to add them independently to the subscriber cart.
Category #1 - Digital
Product #1 - Digital, 1 streaming device
Product #2 - Digital, 2 streaming devices
Product #3 - Digital, 4 streaming devices
Category #2 - DVDs
Product #4 - DVD, 1 dvd at a time
Product #5 - DVD, 2 dvd's at a time
Product #6 - DVD, 4 dvd's at a time
Alternately, suppose you have a Digital offering and a combined Digital + DVD bundle:
Category #1 - Digital
Product #1 - Digital, 1 streaming device
Product #2 - Digital, 2 streaming devices
Product #3 - Digital, 4 streaming devices
Category #2 - Digital + DVD
Product #4 - Digital + DVD, 1 device, 1 dvd at a time
Product #5 - Digital + DVD, 2 devices, 2 dvd's at a time
Product #6 - Digital + DVD, 4 devices, 4 dvd's at a time
You can include as many categories on a page as you prefer or you can break them out into different steps. Category #1 can be displayed on one page whereas Category #2 can be displayed on the next page which is common for support or add-on products.
