Quotes
A quote is a saved, priced proposal you build for a customer — the products and services they want, the term, and the amounts — that you can edit over time and later turn into a real order. Quotes live in your console under the Quotes tab, alongside your accounts, so the same team that supports a customer can also put a deal in front of them.
Quotes are permission-gated. You'll see the Quotes tab and be able to create and manage quotes only if your role and profile grant the Quotes permission — the permission a Sales profile carries. A standard support profile without it won't see the tab. As with every other record, you only see the quotes your profile allows: unless you're an administrator, the list shows the quotes you own.
The Quotes list
Open the Quotes tab to see your quotes in a single table. Each row shows:
Quote — the quote number (for example
Q-00042) and the name you gave it.Status — where the quote is in its life (see below).
Total — the quote's total value, in its currency.
Term — the contract length (for example 12 months).
The list follows the console convention: rows don't click through. Use the actions menu (the ⋯ at the end of each row) to work with a quote.
Statuses
A quote's status tells you, at a glance, where it stands:
Draft — being built; not yet sent to anyone.
Pending approval — held for a manager's sign-off (for example, a discount above your authority) before it can go out.
Sent — shared with the customer for their approval.
Accepted — the customer has approved it.
Processing / Completed — the accepted quote is being turned into an order, or has become one.
Expired / Cancelled / Declined — no longer live.
Working with a quote
From a row's actions menu you can:
Open / Edit — go into the full quote to change its details or line items. See Creating & editing a quote.
Delete — remove a draft you no longer need (you'll be asked to confirm).
To start a brand-new quote, use the New quote button at the top of the list.
